SOLDIERS relocated to Adelaide with the 7RAR Battalion are furious over temporary accommodation.
Premier Mike Rann yesterday announced more than 550 members of the battalion would commence operations at Edinburgh RAAF base next week, having relocated from Darwin.
Work to permanently accommodate 400 "single" soldiers on the base yet has to be completed, meaning many are living in portable dongas on a virtual construction site. One soldier told his father the rooms were so small "you cannot swing a cat".
